ELLIPSO, INC. APPOINTS CHRISTOPHER WHITE AS
DIRECTOR, ELLIPSO SPACECRAFT PAYLOAD
WASHINGTON, DC, May 17, 1999 -- Ellipso, Inc. today announced Mr. Christopher White has been appointed as Director, Ellipso Spacecraft Payload. Reporting to Dr. Pete Rustan, Vice President, Ellipso System and Technology, Mr. White will be responsible for all aspects of the communications payload being constructed on the Ellipso™ system satellites.
"As with any satellite telecommunications system, the payload on the spacecraft is where 'the rubber meets the road.'" said Dr. David Castiel, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ellipso, Inc., "It is a critical element of the Ellipso system, and having Christopher onboard will ensure the payload will be delivered on-time and on-budget."

Mr. White's most recent position was as an independent consultant to several leading aerospace companies, including Aerospatiale, Hughes, Motorola, Alcatel Espace and Ellipso. Prior to that he was with Martin Marietta Astro as a Manager and Payload Engineer for a variety of spacecraft communications payloads. Earlier employment included stints at Spar Aerospace, Space Systems Loral, Ether Engineering and Marconi.
Mr. White received his M.Sc. (Nuclear Physics) from Queens University in Canada and his B.Sc. (Physics) from the University of London. He is a chartered Electrical Engineer and is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
