APPOINTS ROGER BLOTT AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT WASHINGTON, DC, March 8, 1999 -- Ellipso, Inc. today announced Roger Blott has been appointed as Senior Vice President of the Business and Operations Group. Reporting directly to Dr. David Castiel, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Blott will be responsible for all sales, marketing, business development and service partnerships for the Ellipso™ system. "Now that we have commenced construction on the Ellipso system," said Dr. Castiel, "we are focusing on the introduction of telecommunications service to the consumer. Roger has a wealth of experience in this area, and Ellipso is fortunate to attract a man of his talents and abilities." Mr. Blott most recent position was CEO of African Telecommunications Inc. Before joining African Telecommunications Inc. he held a variety of positions at Millicom International Cellular S A (Millicom). These included President of Millicom, Asia, responsible for all activities in the region which comprised about half of the Millicom group, and Chief Operating Officer, responsible for all the operating activities of the Millicom group, which included some 30 businesses in 20 countries. Prior to Millicom, Mr. Blott was with Cable & Wireless Plc (C&W), the UK based telecommunications multinational. Among the notable positions he held with C&W were Chief Executive, C&W Eastern Europe, and prior to that Corporate Finance Manager. During his tenure at C&W he negotiated joint ventures and developed new international and cellular telecommunications businesses in Russia, Latvia, Belarus, and Bulgaria. Mr. Blott is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (UK), and has a degree in Electronic Engineering.
