DoD funded Study Highlights VirtualGeo Superiority

Virtual Geo's capability to deliver an unrivaled amount of capacity makes it an ideal provider to the US Department of Defense and it future transformational weapons systems. DoD officials have testified to Congress about the growing shortfall in broadband spectrum needed for operation of present and future unmanned aerial vehicles, such as the Global Hawk and the Predator, as well as unmanned ground vehicles.

Recently, a comparative study of various satellite architectures commissioned by the DoD and conducted by the well established defense consultancy firm DFI looked at these systems and their ability to deliver needed broadband spectrum. In a now unclassified report presented to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), the study concluded unambiguously that Virtual Geo holds the most promise to meet these needs.

The initial report led to a follow up executive report presented to Mr. Stenbit, then in charge of C3I, and shows similar conclusions as it concerns Virtual Geo's capabilities to address certain of DoD's future needs.
